Waitlisted classes...

Hey everyone, I'm about to start at UCSD this upcoming Spring '11 Quarter and majoring in Communications. I added myself to the waitlist (position 50) for COCU 170: Advertising & Society with Professor Chad Harris. Initially there are 60 available seats all currently taken of course...I'm unfortunately number 50 on the waitlist...do you guys think I will get in? I have no idea how much the school usually expands class sizes by, and I'm hoping to come across someone who has maybe taken the class or the professor or something? Actually, I just wanna know if its plausible for a class to expand 50+ seats to accommodate those on the waitlist. Do I have a good chance of getting in or should I continue my search for another class??? Input appreciated, thanks so much!

For a class of 60 students taking 50 from the wait list would almost double the size of the class which is just not going to happen. If you are not one of the first five on that waitlist there is very little chance of getting into the class. To accommodate 50 more students they would have to create another whole section of the class which is not realistic in this budget environment.
