<p>Welp, I was just accepted by Stanford, but was nonetheless waitlisted at WUSTL. It probably has more to do with demonstrated interest though.</p>

Congrats nluu0929. I also know people who got into WashU but not Stanford. And there are people who get into Stanford but not WashU. I guess top college admissions are just unpredictable!</p>

<p>I wouldn’t use it to determine any sort of statistic since it’s a purely unscientific anecdote, but it certainly made me feel better.</p>
<p>We’re all also waiting for Harvard/Columbia/MIT etc., so maybe admissions could tell they were like a third or fourth choice?</p>
<p>I am just really hoping to get in off the waitlist, or transfer next year. Anybody in this situation where they will definitely ‘stay put’ somewhere and try to transfer into Wash U during freshmen year?</p>
