Waitlisted. Questions.

Hello, guys. I've got questions about Cornell. I got waitlisted.

1) Who else is waitlisted at Cornell?

2) Will sending additional information (I guess that will be few awards, a recommendation letter, an essay and an additional transcript of my grades at school in Ukraine (well, I graduated in California and sent my transcript from over there and did not submit this semester's transcript of my senior year in my homecountry)) improve my chances of being admitted?

3) I don't mind at all being accepted to next year's class. I guess, I will actually need it, because of some possible visa circumstances. So, should I indicate that I don't mind entering next year?

I would be really glad if someone could answer my questions. I got rejected from HYP, so I hope for Cornell.

Oh, btw, I am international and need lots and lots of financial aid.

reading various waitlist threads from many schools, it appears those in need of financial aid have little chance of an acceptance. Good luck. Daughter in similar position.

2) yes
3) yes
In general: If you want it badly, by all means go all out and do whatever you can! Recommendation letters and your constant enthusiasm might actually convince them. Also, try to get your GC to call the admissions office in order to find out why you got waitlisted. With a bit of luck, they'lll tell him.

^ agreed. Sending in additional info is def very good. Unfortunately the need for fin. aid might make it hard. Best of luck tho!

Thanx, guys. I'll do so as fast as I can.
