yup it has just happened to me (wait listed). It is slightly embarrassing. The funny part is that I got into my 1st choice (Northeastern). I’m kind of frustrated about it. It was also a financial safety for me soo now I’m nervous about financial aid at Northeastern. Anyone else get waitlisted/rejected at a safety?

I was once rejected by my safety school Northwestern.

I hope my financial aid package is decent. Ragnarok666, what makes you say northeastern gives out a lot of money? I hope they do. lol. I am scared because on Princetonreview they are ranked as one of the colleges that their students are dissatified with their financial aid.

A lot of times people are rejected or waitlisted from a safety school by default, such as blowing off an interview and not trying to reschedule it, being mean to an admissions officer, etc. That has happened to a friend of mine only that he wasn't rejected but waitlisted. He was going to definitely get into a school, but then he completely blew off an interview and didn't try to reschedule. He stood the interviewer up. The school even called his college counselor and told her the story. The admissions officers were very upset and shocked. So, they waitlisted him.
