Waitlisted - things to do

<p>First - how many people are waitlisted every year?</p>

<p>Second - is it ok to put fake college names or better yet "no college" in the spot where it asks "I decline a place on the Stanford waiting list. Instead, I will attend:...."</p>

<p>Third - come up with names to put in that blank that would be hilarious</p>

<p>Of course, you might guess by now that I am not going to stay on the waiting list :).</p>

I don't care about how many are actually admitted.</p>

<p>It is usally about 800 are put into wait-list.</p>

<p>i WISH i knew what to do.. obviously send them more stuff.. but .. i dunno what to send.. and yeah, i'm going to have to wait another whole damn month before they REJECT ME FOR SURE. ugh. what a bad feeling.</p>

<p>In all seriousness, I'm adding myself to the waitlist. Who knows? And Cal isn't that bad anyway...I'll deal with it.</p>

<p>actually, quite a few were taken off the WL last year. I know of one from my school.</p>

<p>hm.. stanford sounds on the cocky side here.. "the college to which you commit at this time will understand if you are later offered admission from the waiting list to Stanford." haha.. eh.. i dunno.. i think i'm gonna get rejected for sure.. so JHU it is.. i just need to find a way to get 20k more out of them..</p>

<p>Last year Addmitted 56 from about 800 wait-listed.</p>

<p>northcal8- Where are you getting the number 800 waitlisted from? I thought that usually like 250-300 are waitlisted.</p>

<p>The numbers are published in Stanford Senator of the Academic Council C-UAFA Committee annual reports. Some of the older ones may be available online.</p>
