I've been waitlisted @ tufts and was really hoping to get in, but if not, USC is where i will be going. Any advice on how to push myself up on the waitlist? Also, is it possible to major in film at tufts? Is housing good/comfortable?

The waitlist is unpredictable as no people were taken last year (overenrollment), so it's really hard to do anything other than to send the admissions committee additional materials such as any awards you've won etc. In your position I would consider USC's film program to be superior to what we have here as I don't think we have a film major. It's supposed to be as good as NYU's program, no? Housing at Tufts is also mediocre.

As with all schools, write an essay, express interest, etc. etc. Interest is especially important for Tufts even though they don't say it in their admissions factor.

so it is not possible @ tufts to create my own major?

what do you mean by housing is only mediocre? would people say better or worse than USC ?

well, USC is renowned for crappy dorms (along with BU) so, Id say better

I have also been waitlisted from Tufts.
I’ve sent waitlist form to Tufts but I did not write down any awards I’ve recently received or an explanation of why I want to go there.
Did that decrease my chance of being getting off the wait list?

Yes, this thread is 4 years old and there isn’t a thread with the identical name (“at” instead of “@”) on the first page. Good thing you revived it. High-Five

Be that as it may, I would not anticipate getting in off the wait list. Start getting excited about another school.
