poopoohead, certainly yep for you. As my stats are way worse than yours, but got accepted at last. I don't find any reasons they would put you into the waitlisted group than considering you were using them as a safety. So like stonecold23 said, just send them a interest letter. Then, you should be all fine.

Send your adcom a letter! Have your guidance counselor call and ask if there is anything additional that can be done since U of R is your #1 choce.
Reiterate that theme in an e-mail since the yield at U of R has been quite low.

Stiill haven't heard from UR. Expect to be waitlisted though because of the delay in notification.
Did you all have the UR interview? I didn't, but not for lack of trying. I responded to the e-mail, signed up for one, called admissions, but never got contacted by an alum in my area.

i drove 6 hours in snow, hail, rain, and windy weather just to have an interview on campus and i still got waitlisted, talk abou how much effort i had put into this

You put the effort in but apparently your stats were not high enough to gain acceptance. Your GPA is 3.5 weighted and your SATs were 2050. Was your M and Verbal 1350?

Hopefully you had solid grades enior year and your GC can attest to that with a call.

Wow Jenny ... you should definitely write them a letter telling them that - as for why people got waitlisted: it seems these days stats are meaning less and less because its what you write in your short response/essay sections that really makes you stand out.

if you have a copy of what u wrote or if u can access the Admissions page again - Check the status of ur app and read what u typed for their Part 2. Not to be cocky or anything but i was really surprised by what i read (it actually sounded good lol). A friend of mine has almost the exact stats as me but he got into Swarthmore with an awesome "Why Swarthmore?" essay. So its all very subjective...

best of luck to everyone waitlisted and still hoping to get in - I believe UofR chose to waitlist you guys for a good reason (instead of a flat-out rejection). Hope you get in!

when is everyone else sending in their decisions to remain on the waitlist? I just sent mine today with a letter of interest and some updates, hopefully, it's enough to have them admit me...

heh i ********ted that one, i just cut and paste what i wrote for my why princeton on and only changed the name of the school to urochester.
i think i've done pretty good to at least get this far!
