Anyone else?

I heard back today, I didn't even know it was possible to be waitlisted this late in the game...

Does anyone know the chances of acceptance once being waitlisted?
They said not to send any additional materials.

Around 2 to 3% or so. You are basically just in the position of possibly filling in for people who get in, but decide not to go, which is quite few. Unless you have stellar grades I'd plan on going somewhere else.

If we had stellar grades, wouldn't we have gotten in in the first place?

My d just got the same letter today. We'll be visiting Western Washington her second choice soon and may be UW too on a same day, then we'll decide if we should just stick with Western.

Not to ruin your day, but I was looking at some rankings at business week and found this information about waitlisted students:

The university placed 855 applicant(s) on its wait list. 3 wait-listed applicants were admitted to the semester for which they applied.
