<p>I’m sorry, but it seems like a waitlist to VT is just as good as a deferral. My sister was waitlisted and I was really looking forward to going to the same school as her, but looks like Virginia Tech has to screw up another thing for me.</p>
<p>I knew tons of people last year that were called off the waitlist.</p>
<p>Actually on the other thread it said 859 were called off in 09, but 0 in 08 and 07.</p>
<p>I know this is a stressful time, but remember it is not over, it is never over until you decide. Our DD had Tech as her number 1, but she had also made the decision before acceptances, that if she did not get in she would go to her number 2 and apply again next yr. That is how bad she wanted Tech, she was determined that one day she would graduate from Tech no matter how the path was going to twist and turn.</p>
<p>Believe in fate, sometimes what we plan is God’s little joke on us! You never know, you might get in, you might not, and maybe where you do go is where you were meant to be all along.</p>
