<p>Our daughter was waitlisted (3.7 uw GPA, 3.9 uw GPA 1st semester senior; ACT 29 composite, 28 reading, SAT math 610; 5 advanced senior classes; NHS, ECs, good recs, NoVa resident). I know the chances are slim at this point, but still holding out some hope.</p>
<p>Just wondering if anyone knows how VT pulls off the waiting list. They say that those on the list are unranked and unnumbered, so how do they decide who fills a slot? Is it random? Does it depend on the region the applicant is from? Choice of major (not counting the high-demand engineering, architecture, etc.) Thanks for any and all information....</p>
