Yea I got waitlisted and i still choose to stay in the list.
did any others got waitlisted?

Omg me too! Waitlistees, commiserate here.

Just like pozzol, I am thinking most positively about being on their waitlist.

Wellesley attracts really smart women who’re just totally not the stereotype of High-School-Musical-bimbos, so it is a really tough fight for acceptance.

Should clarify that I am an international, so our impressing of Ameria is only from watching Disney Channel and MTV hope to rectify that when I go to USA in Fall 2010!! (crosses fingers)

i got waitlisted too…i got the letter on saturday along with five rejection letters–that was a fun day lol

did you guys to EE? I was a “possible,” i assume you guys probably were as well if you did it

Nope, I did not EE.

Is Wellesley that readable? likely=IN, possible=waitlisted, unlikely=OUT!?

Anyone has Wellesley waitlist stats?

I think yield is pretty high (therefore waitlist success low). Hear me out:

Girls who apply to Wellesley already know they want an all-female college experience, and once you’re accepted into Wellesley, well you can’t go any higher than that! (Wellesley is the top female college, right?)

I would be deluding myself to happily think Wellesley’s waitlist is so short, because Wellesley’s forum is not really active, this is not an accurate representation of the waitlist.

I was expecting a rejection letter, instead, I got on the waitlist. I need financial aid, and I didn’t exactly apply because I didn’t think I would have a shot. Hmm. Oh life, you crack me up sometimes.

the infernal waitlist :(

I got waitlisted as well! AHHH and I got a possible so that might be it. But don’t worry ladies, you are all brilliant! :)

Waitlisted here too.

I’m celebrating.
You know you’ve gone insane if you’re this excited about a waitlist.

Hey ladies! I know it’s hard to be on the waitlist, but here’s a blog from a current student (who is a former waitlistee) that might answer some of the questions you might have! [The Real Women of Wellesley - Laila](http://wellesleyadmission.typepad.com/laila/) Good luck on your college decisions! I’m sure you all will end up at a school that’s best suited for you!! :)

waitlisted after a “possible” as well =/

Waitlisted. If I hadn’t been traumatized by an earlier waitlist, I would cry.

I was waitlisted too. I’m kind of surprised that I wasn’t just rejected. But I would really love to go to Wellesley, and it’s looking pretty unlikely now

me 2222222 got waitlisted…! Anyone has rate for waitlist success?

i was surprised about getting so much as waitlisted! i’ll probably go to scripps instead…

@ mamaroneck:
as far as EE goes, they pretty much accept all “likely” candidates unless you completely screw up (like failing a class, etc)

possibles–they admit (plus waitlist I think?) about 25 percent…but i could be wrong…

i think most or all “unlikely” candidates get rejected…but idk. maybe some “unlikely” candidates have gotten in…i’m not really sure

not that it matters now, does it? lol. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE HERE!!! I’d say getting waitlisted is an accomplishment, especially this year…although it’s always hard not to take it personally…it sucks completely bearing your soul on your application and then geting waitlisted

"it sucks completely bearing your soul on your application and then geting waitlisted "

^^ you bet! This is the most positive waitlist thread I’ve seen! Everyone is so honoured to be WLed! heh :)

why is it tougher this year? “record number of super-talented applicants?” Sorry I’m a little sceptical, but all colleges seem to claim tht to make us feel a teensy-bit better

I got my waitlisted letter today, what joy, and on it, it said that for the last three years, they have only accepted 10-30 people each each off the list…a list of 400!! Which puts the acceptance rate off this baby at around 7.5%, but, please contradict me if anyone has any more optimistic news. Because right now, it is wallow city over here…

Hi, I’m a fellow resident. Sob, sob, sob…

Yeah, the 10-30 people is kind of foreboding but we’ll see what happens! I am on 5 waitlists right now (uhh…) but hopefully one will work out!

Hi Guys, I was wait listed at Wellesley too but accepted at Duke. It all depends on FA for me! I am really thrilled to be on the wait list at Wellesley. I love Wellesley and I have never even been there! Wow! I can only hope that I am one of the 10-30 that will be accepted. Good luck everyone.
