Were your letters more businesslike and formal or passionate and informal?</p>
<p>I really hope so. But then again Duke/Rice/Vandy, while good schools, are not in the same league as HYPS Columbia, etc. So while I’m hopeful that for some reason everyone ditches Columbia (<em>crosses fingers</em>), I’m not counting on it.</p>
<p>Well, going by the whole “cross-admits” theory, we will be luckier than those of previous years…Hopefully…</p>
<p>Rumor has it that the first calls will start on like Monday. Any possibility?</p>

<p>^^Monday seems kinda early because Columbia would have to wait to hear back from all the accepted students. It’s also the weekend so they probably won’t get to the list until monday…I think</p>
<p>wow. I think this is even more stressful than actual admissions were…im keeping fingers and toes crossed that lots of acceptees decide on other schools ;)</p>

<p>^^ nah, i actually love my state school, but it’s definitely lacking in the diversity aspect in comparison to Columbia. If no columbia, im going to CSU ft. collins. Great school, but basically the opposite end of the spectrum. How bout you? Got a good back up?</p>

<p>I don’t know that there was necessarily a due date, as the letter was optional, but since today is when they’ll begin to assemble a final count of who’s accepting and who’s not, it would probably be ebst to send it in today if possible.</p>

<p>i probably wouldnt ditch georgetown for duke or upenn though. just columbia <3 oh and princeton</p>
<p>I’m going to northeastern if I don’t get in. I’m ok with that but I would much rather go to Columbia, it’s been one of my first choices for a long time.</p>

<p>On another note, does anybody know when Columbia usually releases waitlist decisions (I know they didn’t take any last year)</p>
<p>The letter said generally no earlier than may 15th and no later than july 1st…quie the window :P</p>
<p>Last year they didn’t take anyone but the year before they accepted the first group on may 4th. They told everyone may 15-july 1st that year too.</p>
