Waitlisters

waitlist for AEM… can someone tell me how many waitlist people were accepted last year?

Arrrrgh…waitlisted for Engineering.

Btw…are your guys saying that the “submitted time” actually matters or are you just hoping that it matters?

class of 2011:
qualified applicants offered a place on waiting list 3,213___
Number accepting a place on the waiting list 1,976_
Number of wait-listed students admitted 279_

from [Cornell Common Data Set](http://dpb.cornell.edu/F_Common_Data_Set.htm)

last year i think they started taking from the waitlist the week after the deadline to send the deposit.

Usually…most colleges will give waitlisted applicants a decision by July 1. I know it’s stinks to not have concrete decision…but this is your chance to make yourself stand out. Update Cornell on your recent achievements and get additional (quality!!) letters of recommendation.

I wasn’t waitlisted…so this is the extent of my advice. Good luck guys!!!

that’s about 14% admitted off the waitlist. better than some schools, but, still not looking too good : (
