sorry, a little late on this, so if I receive that scholarship info I would for sure be in? When that time comes and I don’t get that info, should I be worried at all?
yes you would be in if you get the scholarship but there are so few. Don’t be concerned if you don’t get a scholarship. It doesn’t mean you’re not in.
FYI - Parents weekend is Oct 1-3 in case you want to make any hotel reservations. Rooms are getting scarse already. Good luck everyone!
Ok boy I’m superstitious! I want a hotel
Room! Lol. This is going to be a tough decision!
anyone know how likely a scholarship is? wake’s price is just not going to sway me from UNC right now! i’m wondering if i should accept my place if money is not likely.
waiting never hurts, your spot is reserved till may 1st; weigh out your offers and make your decision accordingly
Beyond the full scholarships (Presidential, etc.) there is not a ton of merit money given.
when are the full scholarship interview notifications sent?
Would love an answer to this. In the past I think it’s been February, but yet again this whacky year is messing stuff up! So frustrating for students but I also feel bad for admissions!
This what it says in the Ed portal:
Merit-based and talent-based scholarship selections are made in March. The Office of Merit-Based Scholarships notifies selected recipients in early April.
Do you have to self report mid year grades? Because my counselor submitted them through commonapp but I’m not sure if they only take self reported, I see the self report option in the portal
No, you don’t self-report but your counselor does need to submit them.
No ED II’s from Friday?
There is another thread for ED II
It says on common app that they downloaded my mid-year report, but I don’t see it on the checklist in the portal, do you think that’s okay?
It doesn’t even say on my son’s common app that it was downloaded. I think you are fine it takes a few days for there website to catch up and the post to show. You could always email your AO and ask if they received it and is your application complete.
I would also check out Bucknell, it is very similar to wake socially and academically, but just in the Northeast
not sure about full scholarships but i got notified i was a finalist for the presidential scholarship in the arts (debate) a few days ago
Awesome!! Congrats on being a finalist!!!
Hi there! I know for myself that Wake Forest is a stretch but I am a little worried because I sent out my application back in August through their website and my college counselor from my high school sent her stuff after the deadline. Like a month past the deadline. Do you think that will jeopardize my application at all?
