Wake Forest demonstrated interest? (Interview, visit, etc)

Hello all. I have recently taken a huge interest in applying to Wake RD- however, I was unable to get an interveiw scheduled and it seems like they place a huge emphasis on it. I additionally am unsure if I will be able to visit before January 1 (although I definitely can during Jan.) I have taken a virtual tour and have don a ton of research and I absolutely love the place. Will the lack of an interview reduce my chances of being accepted? Any help is much appreciated!

@seaotter17 , here is a link to Wake’s admission blog that should put you at ease: http://fromtheforest.admissions.wfu.edu/2016/10/interview-availability-fall-update/

With that said, I would encourage you to try and visit Wake and sign up for a tour. Wake does stress the importance of an interview, but they also understand that not everyone will be able to interview with them. I know that people have been admitted without having a Wake interview. Good luck and I hope you get a special Black envelope from Wake.

@WFUparent Thanks! Do you think if I visited in early to mid January that the admissions committee would still be able to see that I had signed up for a tour? Or is it too late by that point? I am almost 100% sure I won’t be able to visit Wake by the application deadline. Thanks again for your help!

@seaotter17, Wake sends out notices to regular decision candidates April 1. A visit in January should hit your file before they finish their decision making. Good luck and go Deacs!

@WFUparent Great, thanks again! I definitely can’t wait to (hopefully) visit in January
