Has anyone applied/been accepted ED yet this year? How long did the decision take? What was the envelope like and what was in it?
I’m going to submit my application as soon as I finish my essays (probably in the next 2 weeks) so after that it just depends on my letters. Good luck to everyone!
I just got accepted ED about two weeks ago! I submitted my application about three weeks before that, but it took a while for all of the required application items to pop up as “completed” on my Window to Wake account. The decision seemed to be really fast. I think it just depends on how many they get that week, how much time they have to review them, etc.
The envelope was black with different words, like “athlete, artist, writer” on the front. It honestly looked a little bit like junk mail, and was about 8.5 by 11, so definitely make sure to read it carefully. Inside, it had an acceptance letter with info on how to officially enroll.

If you don’t mind me asking, are you from North Carolina. Also, when was your confirmation letter dated? My confirmation letter was dated June 23. When do you think I might hear back? Thanks. @biscuitdog

This is very helpful @biscuitdog! Do you remember the date your application showed “complete” in your Window to Wake account?
Is the confirmation letter the one that says they got my early decision agreement letter? Because I submitted my application a couple of weeks ago and on my Window to Wake account it says my application is complete, but that’s the only letter I got from them and it was before my application was complete.
I got the same thing and my application isn’t complete yet (I’m just waiting on my teacher recommendation). So I guess it is the confirmation letter.
The confirmation letter you received is just informing you that you have applied ED. I’ve submitted everything, and so has my guidance counselor. My portal page has not been updated at all (letter of rec. sent at the end of June, app submitted early August, and everything else 1-2 weeks ago). Is anyone else’s portal not updated at all? If it is updated, how long did it take to update?
I submitted my app on 7/23 and my portal page said everything was complete on 7/28. The letter I received was dated 7/27 and said I should hear something within 8 weeks.

@fixermn1 Congrats!!! I applied ED a few days ago and my conformation email said I should hear back in about 8 weeks. Did your conformation email say 8 weeks as well? Also how many weeks did it take since you got your conformation email until you were accepted? Thank you!!
@fixermn1 congrats!!! @EnglandGal12 I don’t know when I got the confirmation letter (it did say 8 weeks) but I submitted my app on 8/7 the portal was updated about a week later saying everything was complete and I got my acceptance letter on 9/14 (dated 9/9). Good luck!

Received my acceptance letter today! (App submitted 8/25, completed 9/16, acceptance letter dated 9/29). Has anyone started a Facebook group or anything?
