For those of you wondering about the importance of interviews, the NY Times had this article recently:

Yes, but they talked about the webcam interviews specifically, and not the other options. So, do you think choosing the virtual interviews will look worse than the webcam/in-person interview?

My virtual interview was not good at all. I hate the time countdown on the top of the screen and it distracted me so much. I hope WF doesn't count it as a large fact in decision/scholarship/FA

Trust me, I do think they consider how the time constraint affected our responses. Everyone I know who has done a virtual interview has told me that they thought they did "horrible". So, if everyone did "horrible", then they will not expect each applicant to have written their best stuff.

I think it is just a way to gauge what and how we think in some very opinionated topics, and how effectively we can give a response in such a short time period...

I read somewhere online that only 25% - 1/3 of all applicants did an interview, so I think that at worse, it may be a null-factor. Well, as long as you didn't completely butcher and BS what you said.

Good to see Wake Forest get more publicity especially in a Yankee newspaper.
