Is there a map that includes walking time between buildings? My D schedule includes classes 10 minutes apart in the Stone Center and Phillips-is this doable?

Stone Center and Phillips should be no problem at all to walk in 10 minutes. Maybe the first day when you’re not sure where the building is, but overall, you’ll be fine. You meaning she, of course.

To make a map like that might be difficult, as everyone has a different pace (but maybe its possible?). Anyway… Stone Center to Phillips is quite a walk. However, I think if she does some intense power walking she’ll be fine.

Stone Center to Phillips in 10 minutes is definitely going to suck, but it’s not worth changing classes over.

That’s very doable. Try doing Wilson to Graham Memorial in 10 minutes then you know what power walking is. Also, teachers can be accommodating sometimes.

Yeah that’s pretty rough. I had to do the Global Ed Center to Dey which could’ve been a lot worse, but my first class always let me out a little late and my second always started exactly on time.

You can always buy her a bike. My son had one for 3 1/2 years and loved having it.

Biking between class changes (especially in the main quad) is difficult and frustrating for everyone trying to walk. She should be fine doing that walk in 10 minutes as long as she walks quickly.

Does anyone know if it’s difficult to make it between Carrington Hall (the nursing school) and Carroll Hall in ten minutes? It looks like a really long walk on the map and I don’t know whether I could make it to class on time. Thanks!

I think Carrington to Carroll is doable in 10 minutes. You’ll want to get out of Carrington as fast as possible though.

Thank you so much, saejinbilly!

How about Murphey to McColl building in 10 minutes?

I think the walk from carrington to carroll would definitely be tough in ten minutes but before dropping the class i would give it a try.

I’m bringing my bike, so hopefully the trek between carrington and carroll will be okay–thank you so much for the input regardless!

Biking between Carrington and Carroll would be tough. You have to cross the biggest street in campus. I still think that you can make it with some major power walking (and maybe some shoving), but you may find yourself entering a minute or so late to Carroll every day. Not a big deal unless the professor is mean about it.

10 minutes between Murphey and McColl would not be possible. I would suggest not taking any classes at McColl immediately after any other class (except one at McColl, of course).

^ ok thanks for the reply… but not the answer i was hoping to hear lol :(

Oh no, all the other classes are full so I can’t switch. How late will I be to class?

If you walk, you will be at least 10 minutes late. If you bike, you might make it. Another choice is to catch the bus. Look up the bus schedule, you’re looking for either the U or the RU (don’t remember right now).

DO NOT RELY ON THE BUSSES…I mean they come…just never on time. and they are often packed early morning or in the afternoon peak times so u have to wait for a different one.

Is it possible to bike on the busy roads like S. Columbia St. or is the traffic too bad? Are you just supposed to ride your bike on the sidewalk?
