I Know Brown is a reach for me but I would still like your opinion. Thanks.

if you raise your SAT score and GPA, you're chances will be much better because you look good elsewhere.

^ i second that.

Does it matter if your school is an urban district? The average score at my school ranges from a 900 to a 1000. Thanks again.

well she can't raise her score because she just said she applied regular already.

so it's not like we can tell you what to improve on...you've already applied, and theres no way we can predict what the decision is (usually totally whimsical) so all you can do is wait (?) like the rest of us....

Sorry - SAT score is going to hurt you,

Thanks for all the input. Good luck to all of us. Just cant wait till April. Oh well.

Figure each admissions counselor gets one "gimmee", you might be my gimmee if I were an admissions counselor - i.e., I think the VA hospital service is unique and impressive.

what is a gimmee?

A "gimmee" is a putt short enough that one is not required to actually putt it out, one's opponents give it to you.

In this context I meant that each adcom gets one borderline case that they can get admitted without arguing his/her merits in more than a superficial manner.

I like the golf terminology.
