Want to Major in Biology and minor in art for pre-med track

<p>Hi, so I'm not really sure what to choose. I love art and I'm pretty good at it and I just recently found that out, however, I have dreamed of becoming a dermatologist almost my whole life (yeah I know that's weird lol). So I need to get into a med school and I wanted to know if minoring in art would hinder my acceptance. I'm a senior in high school this year and I'm going to Umass Amherst next fall. </p>

<p>Also I wanted to know, studying abroad, would that hurt my academics or would it make me look better?</p>

<p>If you think that the minor would take away from your Biology major grades, it may not be worth it, because obviously you need to do as best you can in those classes to get in to med school. It seems like art is more of a hobby-type thing for you. Ask yourself if you are truly interested in learning more about art or if it isn’t that big of a deal.</p>

<p>As for studying abroad, I think it always looks good. Just make sure you have the time.</p>
