As the deadline is fast approaching, March 4th this year, please double check that your HS sent in your GPA verification. To apply, you only need 2 things: fill in the fafsa and the gpa verification.

Here is the link for this year's income and asset ceilings:

You should be able to log onto your calgrant account at web grants for students and see that both of your forms, the fafsa and the gpa verification, have been received.

I'm writing this warning because my son's high school did NOT send his in. I called several times to verify that they had the right SS#, name, etc.. and the registrar always said that she did it and had all the correct information. As of yesterday, it still wasn't showing up so I asked the registrar to do it again and finally, I can see it on his account. If my son ends up at a UC, his HS registrar's mistake would have cost us $48,768!!!! Please double check your or your child's account before it's too late.

Here is what Cal Grant funding amounts are for 2013-2014:
system-wide fees at UC =$12,192
CSU=$5,970
independent California colleges=$9,084
