Was anyone asked to fill out a supplemental application earlier this year?

@carlroberts – they only send out supplements to those whom they can identify from the application (i.e. in an essay) that the student has a disability. Cal remains committed to the augmented review process for all those whom they can identify as having special needs.

Congratulations to all of you who got in with the Supplement!

got the talent supplement and was accepted!

Son received a health-related supplement. But as his condition did not really impair his abilities in any way, he elected not to complete the supplement. He did, however, ask a HS teacher to submit the optional letter of recommendation. 4.2, SAT 2090, 32 ACT, 780 and 710 SAT II’s, not much EC. Accepted for Spring enrollment. Congrats to everyone for being considered for Cal.

I got the disability supplement. I had a disease my sophomore year, but no longer have it, so I just answered the questions as best I could, because I am no longer disabled.

I was accepted.

got the borderline one, I think it was the reason why I was accepted into Cal. I probably wont be going to cal though…

Borderline application, I think it might have the difference between spring admit or fall admit. I didn’t express a good fit for berkeley on my uc application, so I think the supplement was to gauge my interest in cal. The supplement made me reconsider Cal for other schools for a while, because it slightly brused my ego. (BUT I should have been more positive!!!) I was accepted for fall, phew, but I feel a bit guilty…leaning toward UCLA.

thanks to this supplement I got in! I think the reason why is because I had a really good reccomendation, but it’s SUCH a good oppurtunity and I appreciate Berkeley for giving boderline students a chance to show another side off instead of just flipping a coin and guessing
