Was Garunteed MD Program Worth It?

<p>I am weighing all of the different paths one might take to a degree in medicine.</p>

<p>To those of you have have completed (or perhaps are completing) one of the HPME/PLME or near guaranteed medical school admissions programs, are you happy you attended a program like the one you did?</p>

<p>When all was said and done, what was the advantage of programs you attended? Might you have been, in some way or another, better off taking a more traditional route into medicine?</p>

<p>What happens if you enter one of these programs, and you just can't crack the work? Do you know people in your respective programs who fit this bill?</p>

<p>It was well worth for my D. who is going to be done with UG part next year. But she has chosen non-accelerated one at state school. She really appreciated it during junior year when other pre-meds around her were getting panicky about MCAT. She needed some minimum score, but it is not very high, which gave her great peace of mind and actually helped her to get a very decent score. So, she has applied out, still retaining her spot. She does not worry like everybody else and she did not need to apply to crazy number of Med. Schools.</p>
