I looked on the online status of my suny new paltz application, and I saw that a new link appeared. Usually I just had a link to check my application status, and when I clicked it, it would tell me that "my application status is unavailable at this time." However, today I checked again, and a new link appeared, and it asked me to register for an accepted students open house.

Does this mean I was accepted to Suny New Paltz?

It sounds good, but I would call the school to double check. BTW, my son's status has remained "my application status is unavailable at this time" since he applied and we have confirmation that he was accepted as a transfer months ago, so that is no indication of anything. When I asked about it they said they were having some trouble with the computer system. Calling admissions is the best way to get info.

oh dear....my daughter still has the application status unavailable message and we thought she would get into NP....:-(

There's a New Paltz Facebook page where you can ask questions of the admissions office (go on Facebook and search for New Paltz - it's the page with the hawk logo)...they said letters would be going out during next 4 weeks.

yeah mine was ea as well and the link is gone. i called admissions and they didn't know whether it meant we were accepted or not, and they wouldnt tell me over the phone whether i got in or not. i like to believe its a good sign

Yeah, from what I heard its a good sign and it was probably a glitch that it showed it so early, I suppose. Well, good luck to you! :)
When do you think we'll get letters I wonder?

This is what the admin on the suny new paltz facebook told me....:(

******: You are correct. It was in fact a computer glitch. We were preparing the link and testing it for when our decisions start going out and it unfortunately was activated online. It appeared on all applicant's status pages. We apologize for the error. If you are accepted you will be able to check back in January and register for the Accepted Student Open House.
