I don't feel like my essay was scored fairly.

But I'll take my 9 considering how AWFUL it is.

I just reread it and literally blushed. It's just terrible! I had the memories prompt and I talk about Vietnam and the Oil Crisis... and in my thesis I talk about the European Union (which I changed my mind about when I got to the second topic)!!!!!!!!!!! And my conclusion makes absolutley no sense.

I am honestly, honestly surprised that I recieved a 9 for that. It's just terrible.

I thought my 9 essay was really bad also. I was expecting an 8 or maybe lower, so I was really shocked one of the graders thought it was a 5 essay.

I had come to terms with my 8 because it wasn't really a great essay, but after seeing how some of the people here managed to get 9's with unfinished essays that didn't seem to have anything that mine didn't, I don't understand my grade at all...

this year is a litlle vague to say since there are three topics for each test date....mine(in june) was about mass-media..does it decide which information is important to the public?

My essay for the March SATs was scored unjustly.. they gave me a seven and I reread it and still don't know why. This time I got a 9 and I didn't even finish. (I would have finished but the stupid proctor stopped it early)

Cannednish - it would be very interesting to read your essay. Take a look at the Level 12 essays on the "Official Essay Tread." So far they have all been quite good. I imagine yours is too. The real problem seems to be with the Level 9 and 8 essays. The scoring here has been very inconsistent. Take a look.

I thought I had a decent essay, but I ended up with a 7. This brought my perfect MC writing score down to a 740.
I am thinking of doing the Essay Score Investigation thing. Do you think it will be worth it to pay the 50 bucks?
