I've volunteered a lot with student council, football booster club, salvation army, local food/clothes pantry etc.
Traveled to Joplin to help after 2011 tornado, and in June 2012 traveled to Nicaragua on medical volunteer trip. I wrote my short answer and essay about those two trips, respectively.
Had a 3 month Nannying Job soph. year. Had a 6th month job at Cinnabon, but I had to quit because I was moving. Now starting another job at a restaurant as soon as xmas break ends.</p>

<p>The biggest thing you can do to improve your chances at W&L is to show interest. For them this means visit the school, if possible or necessary more than once. Interview. It’s better to interview on campus, but not a big deal if you can’t make that happen, they also offer alumni interviews. Go to the evening program if there is one in your area. By the end of my application process, I met my local rep 3 different times. Don’t submit your ACT, and your SAT isn’t too terrible. If you have any good SAT IIs submit those too. Good luck!
