Wash U or UW-Madison for biomedical eng

I am looking to transfer from BU into Washington University or U Wisconsin-Madison for next semester. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or information about the departments of the two schools.

UW-Madison has one of the best programs in the world. Especially in the research opportunities, which for undergraduates in science, are abundant.

I usually don't recommend BU for Engineers, but I make an exception in the case of BME because BU rocks in that field. Are you sure you want to transfer? I know BU is not much of a campus university, but Boston is an awesome town. Anyway, if you have your heart set on transfering, I would recommend Wisconsin over Wash U for Engineers.

I know that WashU is probably a better all around school than Wisconsin, but the engineering program is better at Wisc. I have also heard that WashU is looking to heavily improve their program. I realize the BU has a good program for biomed eng, but I think I would enjoy being at one of those two other schools more than here.

Boston, MA to Madison, WI? Meh...I hear really good things about BU's biomed. Seems like Madison is the winner between those two (UW and Wash, especially considering cost) but you had better make sure you are certain. Have you been to Madison?

A ton of kids from Boston go to Madison, for what it is worth.

Of course, people from everywhere do. It never hurts to be certain though :)

I visited Madison in high school and thought it was great. I was originally planning on going there but it didn't work out the first time.
