Washington U Olin School vs. Cornell AEM?

I'm assuming that Cornell's AEM will be more likely to land an investment banking job, but is it possible to do with a degree from Wash U? Would Finance/Accounting be a suitable double major? Does undergraduate really matter after an MBA and MACC? Any plus sides to the Wash U program?

Thanks for any input.

WUSTL Olin is more prestigous, but I think Cornell is more represented in the northeast if you are planning on working on wall street.

Anyone else?

Don’t do Olin.

Why is that?

“WUSTL Olin is more prestigous, but I think Cornell is more represented in the northeast if you are planning on working on wall street” Are you kidding?

^ I am not. I actually asked my cousin who works at Merill, and he wrote that statement lol. He is an investment banker. He hasn’t seen one person from Olin in his life.

^ Oh got it, I thought you were trashing Cornell. Never mind, your right though, you never actually hear anything from WUSTL

Definitely Cornell AEM. Much heavier recruitment for IB, better location to land an IB job, better alumni network and more prestigious brand name for B-schools. WUSTL Olin is a pretty good school but you will have more opportunities with a Cornell degree.

Don’t go to Olin. It’s in Missouri. Almost no one travels out to that part of the country for banking recruiting. Whatever the quality of the school (and frankly it’s not that great), the banking scene doesn’t exist.
