<p>yeah thats it. they have the best italian restaurant ever. Thats one of the things I love about wash u: the area around the school. St. Louis has such a bad rep, but the wash u area is so nice and the real danger is east.</p>

<p>WHAT!!! They have webcams all over campus? Guess I can say I’ve been on the Internet about 10 times per day… Anyways, the loop is amazing (I recommend cheesology as my personal favorite) and its not dangerous unless you’re by yourself at night (which is pretty stupid wherever you are). And going to a world series game was amazing - definitely recommend it if you get the chance.</p>

Umm… my favorite book is “A Knight in Shinning Armor”. It’s a love story including some time travel to medieval.
I applied to FA too. I’m a triplet, so I really need some financial help. Sending three kids to college at the same time… I don’t know how my parents will handle it. Do you think applying for FA will affect to admission decision?</p>

<p>Lol just today someone asked me where I wanted to go to college. I responded “Washington University in St. Louis” and they asked me if it was in Seattle (I guess they must not have noticed the words St. Louis right in the name!). So then I had to explain that the college is named after George Washington, not Washington State or Washington, D.C. Some people I know also get WashU mixed up with St. Louis University.</p>

This is my first post on CC, I applied ED to WashU as well.
I actually live in Chesterfield, Missouri- It’s a suburb of St. Louis, also known as West County. It’s about 20 minutes away from WashU if you speed like me 
My favorite book? Probably The Road or Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah. </p>
<p>The Delmar Loop, which we just call “The Loop,” is only sketchy at night. Other than that, kids our age go there a lot on weekends to eat, hang out, or window shop. It’s a nice place and I know a lot of seniors at WashU rent apartments around there.</p>
<p>If any more of you come visit, I highly suggest staying away from North St. Louis. I think that part of the city is the reason we were rated #1 in crime rate this year. West County is where all the rich white kids live, and where all the private schools are. We call it “Chesterhood” as a joke :)</p>
<p>The Arch is used in so many pics because it is so unique to St. Louis. Honestly, it’s nothing special. I’ve been up there twice, once when we moved to STL and a second time when my grandparents came to visit. I’ve been there once since, and that was for a photo walk with my dad. </p>
<p>If anyone wants to know more about STL once decisions are posted, just let me know! I’d be more than happy to share :)</p>

We have found a lot of people in W Mass that know someone who went to Wash U but for the most part people look at me funny when I tell them where I want to go. They expect me to name one of the Ivies.</p>
