What other options do I have?
Anything that I can do for coming years?
How about merit scholarships - can I apply after enrolling to qualify for coming years?
Really want to go to WashU, but, a little AID will help
WashU gives mostly need based aid. If you didn’t qualify you need to find an affordable option.
thanks thumper1, for the response.
Is there anything else that I can do to get some help from the school?
I am thinking of contacting the FA office to find out more on any other options.
is that a good idea?
Wash U offers extremely competitive merit scholarships. You would ha r to apply for themduring the admissions process as they are awarded to incoming freshmen. If you applied for and received no aid, wash U believes that your family has incomes and assets that determine that you have no financial need. Now , your parents paying fell freight, whether they can or want to is a different story.
How much did your intents day they could afford to pay? Do you have an affordable option.
Do not expect to get any merit later on. WashU is a need based school. It gives out a smallish number of merit scholarships to INCOMING freshman that they really want because those students help their ethnic diversity, or regional diversity, or very high stats (and the school hopes to poach them from ivies). WashU has no motivation to give much/any merit to a continuing student.
What are your stats? How much will your family pay each year? What do you need your net costs to be? What is your major and career goal? What is your home state?
I have a perfect ACT score, with a pretty good GPA of 4.25;
Have taken a good number of AP exams, with a score of 4-5.

Does your family have financial need? It doesn’t sound like it.
