Accepted
D21 rejected, but accepted to Emory Oxford, so we’ll take the win.
I was rejected from Emory, weird how things go
Accepted into WashU.
3.91 Unweighted GPA, brought up to a 3.93 senior year.
No test scores (AP/SAT/ACT) submitted.
No class rank.
5 AP’s
Strong EC’s/leadership/essays/recs.
For people who were accepted, did you get an email where they offered to fly you out for an on-campus tour?
Son accepted and so excited! Political science, 4.0, 36 ACT. Related ECs. Sibling is a current student. We require significant financial aid and WashU knew that already, so for what it’s worth, it seems to us that WashU’s admissions decisions are based more on the students and less on the financials. At least in our case…
Best wishes to all still waiting to hear more!
Rejected
Yes I got that-amazing gesture!
Wait-listed. I didn’t apply the Scholarship. May be that showed i am not so much interested. I am from CA
Their website states that they are need-aware. So, they are aware that your child required FA and they still wanted him! Congrats!
My son is waitlisted too and he did apply for scholarship.
Any international student, who applied for financial aid got admitted?
No. I’m international and I needed financial aid. Straight out rejected. Also my friend applied and rejected.
Just wondering of those who received the late admission fee waivers (my kid received one in late Dec) - where you admitted, waitlisted or rejected?
rejected
Same
Waitlisted (business), OOS, test optional, all As, all APs junior and senior year, did not apply for aid, did not apply for scholarships, did not do video and could not visit due to covid. BUT expressed a lot of interest by attending lots of virtual tours and webinars, asking questions, had good rapport with AO, etc. Hoping for the best and congrats to all who were accepted!
