College is what you make of it. At any college, there’s going to be partiers, partiers who sometimes study, smart people who also like to party, and people who study all the time.

IMO, the “average” Wash U kid is in the “smart people who also like to party” category. Partying is also what you make of it. It’s not necessarily a term that encompasses all-out keggers. Wash U is a really fun school, with very involved people, and I’d say the overall quality of life is extraordinarily high.

Keep in mind you are posting on an internet forum, and whether 2 people or 10 people respond to this, you’ll never get a large enough sample for it to be representative. Spend a weekend there (not during midterms!) and see the college in pereson.

I have to agree with vbball90 there about visiting on a weekend. There’s parties to be found and you can hit up the clubs. There is no stereotypical Wash. U. kid but many people are of the work hard play hard philosophy. If you want to party you can party. If you don’t want to drink, no one’s forcing you.
