Wasting time at uc merced?

So... I am in bioengineering at UC Merced, now I also got accepted into University of Washington and it was either this or that.
I just went with Merced because it's closer, however I think this is a mistake.

So after the first semester I have a 3.0gpa(or 2.95 if the anus math teacher gives me a B+ insteada A- because of his rigged final ;p), and I think this is a waste of my time. I skipped the first chem due to an easy placement test and I just let time fly by in Chem002 and just got a C.

I dun mind Chem, but the teacher was just really boring Mark Vidensek. Other classes like Calc, CSE 20, Wri 1 I did fine.

Now I feel like I am wasting time here because I feel this school isn't any easier than say another UC, it just has a bad name associated with it because a lot of the students get low GPAs here I noticed, at least the engineer ones, or so far.

I don't see much point in going here then tbh because the school has a sort of bad reputation surrounding it.

So can I say transfer to a community college once I finish the spring semester at UC Merced, and then go to like community college for like 1-2 years and then say transfer to like UC Davis or something if I get like a 3.5~ gpa or so?

Alternatively could I transfer from UC Merced if I don't get any teachers destined to make every1 fail and say my next semester gpa is like a 3.2+?
Thx

Honestly, it all comes down to whether you feel it’s right to transfer. Your current GPA is not good enough to transfer into any UC, so you have to bring it up. Instead of starting fresh at a community college, why not just transfer directly from UC Merced? Starting again from a community college means you basically have another extra 1-2 years of education you have complete before you graduate. But if you really feel like transferring, I say bring up your GPA in UC Merced and transfer directly from there.

You have a better shot at transferring into a UC directly from a CCC, so definitely get to CCC asap so that you have more CCC credits than UC credits when it comes time to transfer. I’d even suggest skipping spring semester at UCMerced and just get to the CCC right away.

Go to a CC for your better chance at transferring.

I think you’re biggest need, however, is an attitude adjustment. You’re not going to do well anywhere until you stop blaming profs for your not doing well. They’re not the problem. “Rigged” finals and boring profs are at every college.

You do realize on teh internet everything is some1 else’s fault ;p?
Ty for the replies.

I do realize for a lot of kids who haven’t quite grown up, everything is someone else’s fault:)

I think you should stay where you are! Merced is the right place for you. You made the right choice.

Washington is a tougher school than Merced. You need to understand that professors are of all types. Merced is an excellent school as good as Davis. Stay and work harder!
