wat are my chances?

okay i want to go to tech, and im from Japan nd im a Georgia resident.
i have a 3.5 or something for my GPA, good math nd science grades but pretty bad literature grades(maybe like a C or something?)
my SATs were not great either, especially my CR
440 for CR, 670 for Math, 480 for R nd 7 for Essay
im taking AP in Calculus
nd im goin to take SATs again later in Oct nd SATs II in Dec.

oh yea i also have some awards in math and science classes
some language clubs, nd some community service
3 yrs in baseball; coaches award in junior year
also iv only lived in the u.s. for about 3 yrs, so i guess im an international student...

As of You are Georgia resident, You have ok GPA and Math, But You need to take the SAT again. You should apply ASAP, by October 31.

thanks for the info

oh forgot to ask, is getting a letter from GT saying "you have a great mind so you should apply" type of thing good? or doesn't really matter whether you get it or not?

I have a friend who had great math/science grades and got I think two C's in english, but still got into Tech. Male, white, middle class, still accepted. Your ECs are probably good enough, just take your SATs again.
October 31st is only the deadline to be considered for the presidential scholarship, and I can tell you right now that you won't get it, so you can take more time if you need to. I sent in my application in December and got it as well.

It is not ED or EA , but apply as soon as possible for a better chance.

i got CR 540 and M 690 on the oct SATs....

"M 690" and You are from Japan. Don't stop! apply as soon as possible. You have a good chance.

If you take the SAT IIs, it is a waste for Tech; for they don't look at them. Also, don't worry about being Asian in admissions---it's illegal for state schools to use race as an admissions factor, as per Bakke vs. Regents of University of California.

Get high enough on the SAT II's and you get to opt out of intro classes

^that's only true for chem and lit. Even then, you have to score fairly high (750 and 720, respectfully, I believe).

i know duznt look at recomendation letters, but what if it was a recomendation letter from a big time GT alumni?

It still isn't looked at.
