I don't have a car on campus, and I don't have anyone to drive me around...

Is there a faster way to get to Waterford Lakes Town Center?

The only option that I see is to go on LYNX (Link 30) to Colonial Drive, and then walk to Waterford Lakes. It is almost a mile from Colonial Drive to the Town Center, and LYNX does not go any further than Colonial Drive.

What are my other options, besides having someone drive me or me riding a bike?

There was actually a specialized LYNX bus called the Alafaya Trailblazer. The buses were Black and Gold and their route number was 414. They went back and forth between UCF and the Waterford Lakes Town Centre but I think they may have been discontinued because of the budget cuts to LYNX.

I know it won’t help much but another option would be to take UCF Shuttle Route #10. It takes you to The Lofts/Jefferson VIllage which are both right behind the Publix Plaza on Colonial and Alafaya. That way, if you do have your bike(the shuttles have bike racks), you can at least get to Colonial without paying a fare for the LYNX.

I was at UCF for the summer and there were no buses that went to Waterford. I had to walk there instead… it was far to walk so I hope they will get a bus to go there soon.

That is a far walk (yikes!) and it’s a shame them don’t have a bus running from Waterford to UCF. Hope one comes soon! We were there at least once or twice a day picking up things or going out to eat!!

knightforum,
You should take the UCF shuttle to The Lofts. That will take you half way to the Waterford Shopping center.

Hopefully you will meet someone in the fall that has a car. Unfortunately the LYNX will not offer the route again due to budget cuts. If you have to walk, drop me a private email and I can give you my S phone number. He will be living at The Lofts and has a car. I promise he is safe and could give you a lift.

I know that lynx has a small bus that comes to the terminal its pink and yellow i think its called pick up ride or dail a ride something of that nature and it takes you to the pizza hut in Waterford Town Center it stops behind all the buses on campus its the same fare as it would be on a reg lynx bus…you have to call ahead for them to pick u up from where ever you get drop off like a hr prior to ur pick up time it works well
hope this helps just heck out lynx website

I agree with everyone else–there’s no way to get to Waterford unless someone else drives you. Which means… you get to try and make friends, quick! :)

Honestly, that’s about it. It’ll help you become a more friendly person, since you need friends to drive you places. This’ll be my third year on campus at UCF without a car, and it’s not really that bad if you know the right people. (AKA people with the means to drive!)
