how do you see if your scholars day rsvp is pending?
I recieved something in the mail after i was accepted to wsu inviting me to apply. When I submitted my essay i think it just automatically entered me for the date I signed up for.
Have you been accepted and all at wayne state? That is the only reason that I can think of as to why your rsvp is pending.
I’m thinking most of us our over-qualified for regular undergrad. If I don’t make it into Medstart I think I will try to go to honors college at least.

Hey guys, do they look at the “Detroit is a city filled with challenges. Tell us what role you see for yourself in addressing a challenge facing our great city.” essay if you are invited to the top 50 interviews for MedStart?

I am not sure. I do not think they look at that to determine anything for medstart. I think they only look at that essay to place you for scholars day.

How did you do the recommendation letters? Do they just write it on a paper and seal it or is their a specific form…because there isn’t anything on their website about it.

I was just planning on attaching mine to my application. I don’t think there is any special requirements for them. I just have mine written out.

I had mine sealed.

RSVP’d for the Feb 12th date. Hope to see some of you there!

When do they inform us of if we have made the top 50? I’m probably going to end up submitting everything to them on the 12th or so.

My email crashed and I don’t have access to emails from last year, but I looked back on CC and I posted on Feb 1 that I had recieved an email letting me know that I was in the top 50 and had been invited to interview. So you really only have to wait a few weeks.

Good luck everyone!

I was told that we would know before scholars day.

Kutless, are you at Medstart? How are you liking it?

I didn’t make it past of the round of 50. I was an alternate for the top 30.

hey so i submitted my medstart app and everything. just got the e-mail confirmation…

anyway, i also received an e-mail saying that i have been accepted to WSU. they gave me this pipeline login and everything, but how can i accept or decline their offer?

i just got the e-mail a few days ago.

OMG COMPLETELY forgot about this app. Ooops.
time to start…

hey guys
i just recently finished my medstart application and sent it in, i was wondering if past year’s medstart applicants could help on when they got an interview to the program in the first place?
good luck to everyone who has applied this year! :)

I’m going to submit mine today!

what were your guys’ stats?

It’s going to take one brave sole to post stats before we get the ball rolling and everyone does lol. Sorry everyone, I’m not that brave. :P

can we just save stats until after the interview thing comes out? like ViggyRam, I’m not that brave soul.

what difference would it make if you did post your stats guys?

err okay ill post stats but im lazy so im just not going to go into that much detail. Mine are prob a lot worse than yours.

GPA: 3.6, competitive school, sat 2200, ACT- about the same as SAT, Bio, Stat, ES AP tests all 5’s, 800 math, 760 bio (freshman year though). EC’s are decent, wont go into detail because im lazy more than anythign else :P. Im not published, havnt done any research but i’ve done a good amount of shadowing/volunteering (>400 volunteering hours at least, not exactly sure, >200 hours shadowing) Course schedule most rigorous.

honestly stats dont matter, if you get in you get in.

^You’re the brave one I’ll do what referee is doing and post after the interview decisions come out.
