2400 SAT and cure to cancer?

Seriously, class rank is more important. I would work hard on prep for the SATs and become devoted to your essay and ECs.

SATs, EC's, and class rank all can offset (to a certain degree) a gpa such as yours (because your gpa isn't low, its good actually).

Not CC good, but good in real life.

GPA means nothing without it being taken in context; colleges will be more understanding of your "low" GPA if you're taking the hardest courses possible.

If your GPA is your weakest part, better beef up your other things (most importantly SAT/SAT II scores), but GPA really is the most important thing. Concentrate on raising your GPA first and foremost.

Why should class rank be more important?
Technically, a person with AP English, AP Human Geo, AP Psych, AP Calc AB can be the same rank as AP English, AP Chemistry, AP Bio, AP Calc BC

in which case, the latter is obviously smarter and more qualified.

what if your school doesn't rank?
