We just NOW realized scores aren't transmitted electronically. Is the EA app a non-starter?

Tonight I was helping my DD finalize all materials to submit her Early Action application to Harvard. We just realized that sending her scores now won't get them there by November 1. Oops! DD, of course, reacted a little more strongly than "Oops"! She is very concerned that her otherwise strong application will be torpedoed.

Should we move on to regular admission? We have not submitted the Common App portion yet. We'll call the admissions office tomorrow, but wanted to see if any CC folks could lend any insight. Please calm her fears, or justify the tears! Thanks.

I’m quite sure it will be fine - Harvard is not looking to reject qualified applicants on technicalities. They will just hold off processing the application until the remaining scores are there (and will likely notify your daughter about the missing scores if you haven’t let them know already). If you have any questions, call the admissions office tomorrow.

It should be fine, because Harvard even accepts the November SAT sitting for Early Action.

Per the admissions office, we’re OK. She did say to make sure to self-report the scores on the Common App.

FYI, last year my daughter self-reported her ACT score (state-mandated, without writing). She did not intend to send it to Harvard as it was without writing, and she had already submitted the SAT, however Harvard contacted her and asked for an official report.
