I was talking to a teacher today and she was saying how interesting it was going to be to see me in a uniform, but I said it probably wont happen because even if I wanted to I probably wont be allowed to wear my uniform for any reason at home. Am I right or would I be allowed to wear the uniform to school one day as a cadet next year? Just interested, I understand I have to finish Beast first, and that i probably wont even want to wear my uniform off base for any reason anyway, I was just curious.

A cadet came to my school to answer questions and he had to wear it, probably to represent west point professionally.

You can wear the uniform if you want. They highly recommend not traveling via airplane in BDUs (camoflauge), as that may present a security risk. Plus, whenever I'm with other cadets at the airport and we see some cadet in BDUs, we proceed to make fun of him relentlessly. ;)

But you are definitely allowed to wear them home. I have chosen to completely avoid all West Point-related activities whenever I've been home, but that's just me. Plus, I'm sure you'll be able to get a lot of fun hooah pictures during Beast to show people.
