Weather and Climate

How could does it get in the winter? Is it comparable to Chicago? Better? Worse?

i live in metrodetroit and i'd have to assume that the climates are similar, both being in the midwest. however, i've heard chicago can be worse, especially beign right off the lake.

So how's the winter? What the average temperature and windchill? How much snow do you get?

dont worry about the weather. you'll adapt. winter= cold
summer= warm IMO

I'm just afraid because I was reading a thread on the UChicago forumn about bitter winters. I hail from NJ, which although some may claim has cold winters... doesn't really have cold winters. I mean.. on the coldest day, I can still stand going to school in jeans and a northface fleece. I'm sure Ann Arbor will be colder than where I'm from, but I'm just wondering how the weather there compares to UChicago, where it seems to dip below freezing normally and have really bad windchill.

It's colder in the winter than Jersey and comparable to Chicago. No question about it.
