Week 1 NASS folks post your experiences here

Awesome workshops: Martial Arts (just watch out for crazy boys who will hyperextend your arm...), the Politics, Power, and Freedom was cool, and so was the Intro to Econ... Those ones stand out most in my mind.

I was in session I. Martial arts was the most awesome thing ever but you can't be afraid of Cliff the instructor (a.k.a. Vin Diesel to anyone who has seen him). He is probably the most intimidating person you will ever see but actually a really nice guy. I also really liked mechanical engineering, polymer chemistry and physics. Overall it was a good fun week but I learned that I am not as good as a swimmer as I thought I was (sea trials in the pool were definitly the hardest part of the day).

"a.k.a. Vin Diesel to anyone who has seen him"

HAHA. That's all we were talking about when we saw him. And the other guy looked like Sylvester Stallone. I didn't think he was scary during the martial arts class... but boy, he was a bit frightening during Sea Trials! I thought he was nice -- he was checking out my arm for me when it snapped backwards. :p

I thought that the other guy sounded like the Gunny but w/e. And yes, Vin Diesel was a very nice guy but also very intimidating.
