HIIT = high intensity interval training.
HIIT is anaerobic, and it actually increases your muscles.
Cardio is aerobic, and it catabolizes (i.e. uses for energy) your muscles.</p>

<p>This explains why distance runners are really skinny and look almost sick whereas people who run in bursts (i.e. people who do the 100m dash) look muscular and healthy.</p>

<p>Muscle burns off fat, so obviously having more muscle is essential for fat loss.
...but muscle weighs more than fat, so HIIT might actually make you gain weight.</p>

<p>It's also stupid to completely stop doing cardio. You need to do cardio to keep your cardiovascular system strong. Doing really long cardio sessions also is good for increasing your endurance.</p>

<p>Yeah those diet pills don't really do much for you. Just exercise 3-4 times a week and try to get in some lifting, but more importantly, watch what you eat.</p>

<p>Are you allowed to buy diet pills when you're under 18? I know the ones at like CVS are sitting on the shelves, but when you go to buy them, don't they ask for id or something?</p>

<p>I eat less calories than the thing recommends every day but I gain weight. and i exercise 30 minutes a day...</p>

<p>i watch what i eat (altho i do give in sometimes :P) and i read the ingredient boxes like crazy everytime i buy food, even w/the wheat thins, for example, i make sure i eat the best kind (u know, the reduced fat, original,honey,...).</p>

<p>THEN, i JOG! or mostly just slack off and only walk, but it helps also. i think running is the best exercise for any body shape and that's about everything i do to keep in great shape. oh and one more thing, i absolutely avoid sitting on the couch. lol. i'll stand while watching tv. hehe</p>
