I want to transfer from UMich Flint to UMich Ann Arbor (main campus) my junior year. Does my ACT matter even if its substantially low? (21) will this hurt my admission chances? I have a 3.8 at UMich Flint and the admissions rep said the college im trying to attends average GPA for transfer students is 3.5.

Thank You. It means allot.

Michigan primarily uses your ACT if you are applying as a sophomore transfer since you haven’t yet had enough time to established a grade trend. Since you’re applying to transfer in as a junior, they will still look at it but it won’t hold nearly any weight since your college grades are many times more important.

Michigan does not require the ACT for Junior transfers. Given your score, I would only submit it if required.
