What's the difference between a weighed or unweighed GPA? My school offers regular, honor, and AP classes. If I receive an (A)
in a regular course the corresponding numerical grade would be a (4). Honors would be considered a (5) and AP would be a (6). How would I convert my grade to a "unweighed" score?

Actually, AP's would be considered a 5 as well.

just count the grade in the ap/honors class as a regular class. thus,

a= 4
b = 3
c = 2
d = 1
f = 0

add the points for each grade per class per semester and divide by the number of classes per semester to get your unweighted gpa.

As to your first question. the difference is the weighted is when u calculate your honors and ap classes into your GPA. This GPA counts towards class rank. Unweighted is just your normal GPA.
