How would you pronounce these names? Please write the stressed syllable with capital letters and the transcription you think is right. Don’t write the names you can’t pronounce. I am worried that when I go to college people won’t be able to pronouce my name. There are 8 names, because some of my friends were curious about the pronounciation of their names.

Usually at college, you tell people you’re name, they don’t read it. Its a lot easier to hear someone else say it first. Once in a while with a particularly uncommon name, I may ask for clarification to make sure I’m pronouncing it correctly. It really shouldn’t be an issue.

The only person who may have to read it, then address you, are TA’s/professors, but they would just spell it or try to sound it out, and the ask the student for clarification on how to say it correctly.

Alright, here is the correct pronounciation.
