So, I went to visit colleges a few weeks ago, visiting LACs in the northeast such as Middlebury, Vassar, Skidmore, Bard, and Reed college in the northwest.

In the dorms of these colleges, there are bathrooms with showers on the like on each floor. However, since it's shared, just how modest can one be? Are the individual shower stalls, each fitting for one person, with shower curtains? Is it like this at most colleges?

That's how showers at Maryland are. I usually just bring some shorts or sweatpants to the shower and put them on after I dry up...it's cold walking down the hall from the bathroom during the fall and winter lol.

at skidmore, in all but one of the dorms, the bathrooms are shared by 4-6 people. usually people put their towel over the shower door, leaving the door to the rest of the bathroom open, and then change in their rooms. in that one other dorm, the bathrooms are shared by the whole hall, but i've never been in that dorm so i can't really say.

I think most colleges have seperate shower stalls. Here at Wes the newer dorms have actual stalls (with door, as well as the shower with the curtain), some of the older dorms just have shower seperated by dividers + curtians. Either way, it's pretty easy to be modest!
