Hey I just finished my junior year at a somewhat prestigious high school........and I have a weird situation on my hands. My grades were stellar up until the beginning of this year when I got depression. It severely affected my gpa (it went from a 4.6 to a 4.3). I struggled with depression for the whole year and only managed to get mediocre grades. However, if I do well on my ap tests (which im confident I did), my teachers will change a few of my grades. I also took 2 subject tests (us his-750, bio-740) and the act (32 without studying- hope to take it again and get a 33-36). I was just wondering what my chances would be at schools like berkeley, stanford, duke, ucla, and harvard......I just basically want to know if they will take my depression into consideration.

ps- There were a few things that caused this depression that I plan on writing about (troubled home life and such...) in my essays. I also have good ecs-xc and track 4 yrs (15:41 3 mile- hope to break 15 min), piano, charity that sponsored 4 african orphans (we raised a considerable amount of money), csf, hopefully nhs next year, worked at a lab for a summer and did cancer research.

Thanks for reviewing this!
