I think they were talking about the Welcome Back concert on Aug 22, Sat. I have the same question as the OP.

man, i’d love it if lady gaga came.

@squadus

lady gaga is a hip hopping gangster?
i personally would want a metalcore concert…but not everyone is into so it thats out of the question

I don’t know, she’s pretty though. haha I was just stereotyping popular music.

I wouldn’t mind metalcore, but if Death Cab for Cutie came I’d be in loveeeeee. :D

My freshman year, they had a 3-4 bands if I remember. The Lovemakers were one of the earlier performances with Phantom Planet being the main show.

horrible lineup

ARTISTS

Cold War Kids (<a href=“COLD WAR KIDS | Listen and Stream Free Music, Albums, New Releases, Photos, Videos”>http://www.myspace.com/coldwarkids</a>)
Cold War Kids means International Blues. They began in August ’04 with friends, jangly guitar, hand claps, and a harmony amp in a storage room atop Mulberry Street restaurant in downtown Fullerton, CA. For the first practices, having instruments was secondary to stomping and chanting; clanging on heat pipes, thumping on plywood walls, hollering into tape recorders, slipping and swaying into alleyways and juke joints of yesteryear, tapping in to the American dustbowl and British maritime
Cold War Kids strive to make honest songs about human experience in orchards and hotel rooms, laundromats and churches, sea ports and school halls
**Songs to check out: Hospital Beds; Hang Me Up To Dry

As Tall As Lions (<a href=“As Tall As Lions | Listen and Stream Free Music, Albums, New Releases, Photos, Videos”>http://www.myspace.com/astallaslions</a>)
The third full-length album by New York’s As Tall as Lions, You Can’t Take It With You, is a thoughtful, textured tour de force of soundscapes, vocal harmonies, melodies and insightful lyrics about the modern world. The songs’ subject matter faces head-on the politics of God, love, war, and the human condition while examining everyday struggles such as anxiety, isolation, and money." With You Can’t Take It With You, the band; vocalist-guitarist Dan Nigro, guitarist Saen Fitzgerald, bassist Julio Tavarez and drummer Cliff Sarcona, has made its smartest and most impressive album to date.
**Songs to check out: Love, Love, Love; Ghost of York

Down Down Down (<a href=“DownDownDown | Listen and Stream Free Music, Albums, New Releases, Photos, Videos”>http://www.myspace.com/wearedowndowndown</a>)
Unlike bands that revive or emulate a genre, this one tries to take a modern approach to what has stylistically influenced so many of today’s musicians. The band executes songs about love, lust and moral ambiguity on a soulful and sometimes circus-like backdrop.

AHH The Cold War Kids! Yes yes yes. :)

Cold War Kids – not bad, though I agree the Death Cab would have been incredible. :)

Holy crap those bands suck. Haha.

Couldn’t agree more btbam

there goes my dream for a metalcore/metal lineup…oh well

I’ve never heard of those bands… maybe As Tall As Lions… but now I’m not so sad I’m going to be missing it for my EHP Retreat. :)

I understand how you feel, I mean, OBVIOUSLY all those bands suck compared to the Trojan Marching Band! If nothing else, come to the concert to see us! And start learning the songs, chants, yells, and practice your Fight On, because you’ll be doing a lot of those at the football games!
