My mom and dad went to UCLA. My dad went to Cal undergrad. My mom said that she is going to order a pair of USC slippers and will wear one foot USC and one foot UCLA. Financial aide guy told my mom that it would be “Harmful to your health and safety to wear anything Bruin on our camput.” LOLOL

Both of my grandparents went to UCLA for Law school, as well as a few other family members I believe. lol, they were a bit suprised when I told them I applied and only wanted to transfer to USC and said no way would I ever go to UCLA. Good thing I have a few family members who graduated from USC Marshall Undergraduate and Graduate as well to help cheer me on, lol.

Daughter just committed to USC, turned down UCLA and Cal. USC had more to offer and was very generous with their scholarships! Parents and grandparents all Bruins!

I am a UCLA alumni and am happily/reluctantly helping pay my s’s tuition at USC in the fall. USC is clearly the best school for him, even though I told him when he was 16 that he could go to any college but USC (of course in jest). He told this story to the Viterbi admissions counselor when he interviewed at USC, and she told him that her father, a Notre Dame grad, told her the same thing! Football games around the Thanksgiving holiday may get a bit dicey…

My daughter has not decided yet, but if she chooses USC she will break a long running, UC Berkeley legacy(not that there is really any such thing), 3 great grandparents, 2 grandparents, and one parent all graduated from UC Berkeley.
