Wow it's now officially over and I just cannot wait to end my high school career and go to Stanford. Congratulations to all who made the enlightened choice of attending Stanford.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Nine!

Wow, paul, your on post 666!! Does this thread have any purpose?

YAY!! I got my confirmation today. Gasp. International mail isn't so crappy anymore!

What are you guys planning to do the summer before Stanford? I'm going to read Anna Karenina, the 6th Harry Potter book, any Louis de Bernieres book I can get my hands on, and whatever catches my fancy. And I'm going to sleep at least 10 hours a day!! (bliss)

I'm so excited to go to Stanford in the fall! I'm definitely going to enjoy this last summer with my best friends because I'm really the only one going away for school. I will go boating, go to the beach, and probably work all summer.....but I absolutely agree with you nkay on sleeping for 10 hours!!!! I seriously cannot wait to be done with my pathetic high school!

Inuendo, as you can see I joined CollegeConfidential about 8 months before you did. Since august 2004, I have posted 667 messages (mostly during the furious college application time), an average of 74 per month. You joined March 2005, and so far you have 139 posts, an average of 70 per month. Obviously, we both post at almost the same rate!! :)

Anyways, during summer I will:

1) sleep at least 9 hours a day
2) work b/c i have to come up with $2000 for stanford on my own
3) hang out with high school friends
4) Perhaps take an EPGY math course
5) Relax! and read a lot of Tom Clancy books

AHHH! i too am reeeeally excited... only 2.5 weeks of high school left! ever! ugh, now if i can just survive these awful IB exams...

i think i'll make my own list of summer plans:
1. i will sleep til noon every day. ehhh okay, maybe noon is pushing it... 11 maybe?
2. i will tutor and come up with $1700
3. hang out with paulhomework (haha yes, we go to the same high school... and i better be one of the "high school friends" he mentioned!)
4. ewwww who would want to take an extra math course for fun? haha, just kidding... okay, i need to learn how to do the laundry and to ride a bike.
5. read confessional poetry!

okay, i'm done.

Yay, I set up my stanford e-mail address. Let's start a thread for everyone who is attending to post their e-mail address.

I don't think we're supposed to reveal our e-mail addresses on these boards, so we'd better stick to PMs. I'll be glad to give my address to whoever wants it.

"1. i will sleep til noon every day. ehhh okay, maybe noon is pushing it... 11 maybe?"

LOL!

"okay, i need to learn how to do the laundry and to ride a bike."

I haven't touched a bike in YEARS! I'm so glad there are others like me, because I don't want to be the only wobbly fool on campus :D I need to do laundry too. It's the only chore I'm a little apprehensive about - cleaning my room and ironing and such is no problem, but with laundry, I'll probably destroy all of my clothes.

i'm enrolling too!!! i haven't got a confirmation yet, and i sent it a while back??? what if they havent received it?! anyways my summer plans:
1. go to bali for a week graduation trip!
2. go to sri lanka for peace conference thing
3. europeeee italy and greece with my friends!!!! for 3 weeks!
4. go to india with family...
5. SLEEP AND EAT AND SHOP!!!! and ride my bike a few times to make sure I can still ride one!

I am TERRIBLE at ironing my clothes. I end up with more wrinkles. -___-" I really gotta learn how to do that.. and work the laundry machines. Somehow, I don't think the one I have in HK will be like the one at Stanford. Is it true that your laundry fee is included in your Stanford bill for 45k? I heard that somewhere.

I'm going ROCK CLIMBING! YEAH! TO KILL ALL THE MUSCLES IN MY ARMS! YEAH!

I love bike riding. In Canada, I used to go to Stanley Park to ride. It was awesome.

Still not sure about Stanford residential stuff. When does that booklet of forms come?

Paul, when I was refering to your post count earlier, I wasn't refering to its enormity but the symbollism of the number on which it was on.

^ LOL i guess i'm just an idiot! Sorry dude.

Revision to my summer plans: I will NOT take an EPGY math course. Frankly, after my IB math HL exam, i seriously do not want to touch math again unless I have to, and that should come in September, not in the middle of summer.

make sure you make "Hella" a part of your vocabulary.

aaaahahaha... paulhomework, i know exactly what you mean. except i already knew going into the test that i'd get approximately 12% of the questions correct, whereas you are a math genius.

but yeah, good thinking... NO MATH OVER THE SUMMER FOR YOU, MISTER!
